USC Partners with startup company SysEDA

USC's Power and Energy System Group is partnering with a new startup company, SysEDA, to develop cloud-based collaborative engineering tools for power systems design and analysis.  These tools are an expansion of the VTB tools that Dr. Dougal and his research team have developed over the past 10 years for the US Office of Naval Research.

USC and SysEDA are performing this work over the next three years under a $2.4 million award from ONR. Also involved in the work is global energy systems giant ABB. Together, the team will be developing methods for assessing and designing electric ship systems.

SysEDA SysEDA Inc., located in downtown Columbia, develops cloud-based collaborative engineering tools for systems design and analysis. Their flagship product, Virtual Test Bed, is focused on the simulation of power systems that will drive the future. They also provide contract design and analysis services based on our VTB capabilities.
