Postdoctoral Fellowships Available

Two Post-doctoral Fellowships are offered in the Power and Energy Systems research group of the Department of Electrical Engineering, University of South Carolina. The positions are available immediately, until filled. The National Research Council recently ranked the department’s PhD program  as #1 in the South and 7th Nationally. Applicants for these Post-doctoral fellowships should have qualifications commensurate with conducting research and mentoring doctoral students in such a highly-competitive and productive environment.   

Candidates should have interests, qualifications, and publications in one or more of the following areas:

  • Grid-connected power electronics
  • Power system dynamics
  • Integrated data and power networks
  • Machines and drives
  • Power electronic circuits, devices, and controls
  • Simulation environments (theory and development)  

Regardless of area of specialization, applicants are expected to be fluent in the use of commercial simulation tools, and preferably to have strong programming and software development skills including C++, C#, and .net.
